PathPlanner R4 includes a multitude of features which give users the ability to complete accurate vehicle turn simulations in a matter of minutes. Whether a project requires a new roundabout design or the analysis of an existing site layout, PathPlanner R4 has tools and features to take the hassle of the task. A library with standard road design vehicles from the USA (AASHTO and CALTRANS), Canada (TAC), Australia (AUSTROADS 1995 and 2006) and many European countries is included, in addition to a great number of commercial and specialized transport vehicles. Vehicle libraries

• Standard design road vehicles from various countries including Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and the USA.

• Selected commercial vehicles and specialized transport vehicles

Customized vehicle creation

• Create or modify vehicles and (semi-)trailers using the intuitive ‘Vehicle Manager’

• Create different vehicle combinations using the ‘Combination Manager’

Parking & track building

• Place static vehicles into a drawing to simulate parking

• Insert and adjust objects on a selected target line

• Maneuver vehicles using various different turn settings including arc (fixed radius), dynamic arc (smoothest curve between points), direct (shortest route between points) or oversteer (results in the straight orientation of the object)

• Build tracks manually without using existing lines (Manual), or

• Build tracks between existing lines (Target), perfect for evaluating existing road and parking layouts, or

• Automatically follow marking lines for accuracy (Target-Automatic)

• Reverse vehicles, including truck combinations

• Select vehicle speed per track segment for both forward and reverse maneuvers

• Use pre-set vehicle steering angle or adjust to preferred angle

• Use fixed turning angle, specify with mouse or automatically detect angle based on a drawing element

• Build tracks using various vehicle tracking points (TTP) with/without an offset margin to keep a minimum clearance from pavement edge or curb

• View information relating to each simulation such as steering angle and travelled distance/time

Simulation, animation & plotting

• Immediately preview plot results for ease of use

• Display a vehicle a specific number of times during animated maneuvers 

• Draw swept path and wheel tracks with/without hatching

• Create high quality animations in CAD for presentation purposes

• Generate reports in RTF format which are compatible with Word/PowerPoint
