The PathPlanner A5 Advanced module offers an array of additional functions together with an extended library including upcoming commercial aircraft, helicopters, military aircraft, typical airside vehicles and common push back combinations. The feature set allows for fast and reliable apron design and analysis of operational issues.
The PathPlanner A5 Advanced module includes all PathPlanner A5 Base module features, in addition to the following, amongst others:
Preliminary commercial aircraft, military aircraft and helicopters
Airport vehicles
Design aircraft for each FAA or ICAO group
Ranking function to select correct aircraft for design task
Selected tug and tow bar length for commercial aircraft
Create luggage trains using the intuitive ‘Vehicle Manager’
Create different tug and aircraft (or vehicles) combinations using the ‘Combination Manager’
Place static vehicles/aircraft (with multiple reference points) into a drawing to simulate parking
Insert and adjust objects on a selected target line
Insert an object parallel with target
Build tracks between existing lines (Target), perfect for evaluating existing layouts, or
Automatically follow marking lines for accuracy (Target-Automatic)
Edit or follow an existing track
Build tracks with main gear, wing tip, nose tip etc.
Create push back maneuvers (using specific tug-aircraft combinations) to check or design pushback lines
Create vehicle simulations in side view, following road profile
Draw jet blast contours
Create simulations with trailers that operate with independently steered axles
Draw outer engine path, tail/nose tips, jet blast swept limit
Close clearance swept path areas to allow hatching
Design ground markings based on nose-gear or cockpit reference points
Use pre-set FAA or ICAO wing + gear clearances or alter to suit preferences
Assess vehicle height clearances in side view
Generate reports in RTF format which are compatible with Word/PowerPoint
