On 6 November 2015, PathPlanner Turn was succeeded by AviPLAN™ Turn.

AviPLAN Turn carries on where its predecessors, PathPlanner Turn and AeroTURN™, left off to deliver a unique feature-set tailored to meet the specific challenges faced by today’s airside planning, design and operations professionals. AviPLAN Turn’s functionality has been developed and refined over many years, and is the result of knowledge and input from in-house airport planning experts and developers as well as equipment manufacturers, airport operators and consultants from around the world.

Accurate aircraft turn simulations in no time

With PathPlanner Turn, simulating aircraft movements has, quite simply, never been easier. Incorporating an intuitive graphical user interface, users of all experience levels can generate turn simulations with just a few clicks of the mouse. With just a few more clicks, properties such as swept paths, jet blast, clearance areas and much more can be displayed. Simple, fast and most important of all, accurate.

PathPlanner Turn Software PackageAirplanes and helicopters, commercial and military

The 2D aircraft library contained within PathPlanner Turn is second to none. Incorporating over 475 commercial and military airplanes and helicopters, PathPlanner Turn offers a unique level of flexibility and a broad range of potential applications. Whether analyzing the jet blast impact of an Airbus A380 with Rolls-Royce Trent engines, assessing the spatial requirements of the Airbus A320neo with sharklet wing tips, or anything in between, PathPlanner Turn and its comprehensive aircraft library is a sure to provide the answer.

Users can be rest assured that all aircraft drawings and dimensions are subject to a strict quality-control process to ensure that simulation outputs and reports are of the utmost accuracy, both visually and technically.

Feature Spotlight

The PathPlanner swept path engine

Combining the results of robotics research with airport know-how provided by the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority, PathPlanner was the first CAD software application to be designed specifically, from the ground up, for the purpose of generating aircraft turn and swept path movements. Over the years, a great amount of focus has always been placed on ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of the PathPlanner engine, in order to provide users with the assurance that…

…if it can be simulated with PathPlanner Turn it can be executed in reality.
