Transoft Solutions Inc., developers of transportation engineering design software, has announced the launch of AviPLAN - its new flagship product for the airside planning, design and operations market.
Built on proven technology by a team with decades of experience in the aviation industry, AviPLAN provides airport planners with a best-in-class set of tools to model and analyze the airside movements of aircraft and their support vehicles.
It is the successor to two renowned airside planning products, AeroTURN and PathPlanner, and builds on their respective features to offer users a next-generation solution with unprecedented levels of accuracy and sophistication.
With AviPLAN, airport planners can design intricate docking scenarios with multiple passenger boarding bridge/lead-in line/aircraft combinations, assess jet blast impacts and safety clearances, simulate complex pushback maneuvers, and more.
A 2D and 3D object library of more than 500 aircraft is also included, updated monthly to ensure that users have timely access to newly-released models and can make their simulations as visually and technically accurate as possible.
"We're delighted to announce the launch of AviPLAN, which we've developed to empower airport planners to do what they do best," commented Ben van Leest, Vice President for Aviation at Transoft Solutions."It represents the next step of our journey in a rapidly changing industry, and we're looking forward to working together with our user community to move onwards and upwards."
A Tailored Solution
AviPLAN is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of users, from civil aviation authorities to individual equipment manufacturers, and is therefore offered as a tailored solution in four different versions. This ensures that all target groups have access to the right functionality and workflow, without compromising on interoperability.
Increase Efficiency
In addition to offering the highest levels of accuracy in simulation output, AviPLAN is built for efficiency. A host of new features are included to reduce the manual workload associated with tasks like taxiway fillet design, managing aircraft groups and sharing output data, allowing airport planners to focus on what really matters.
