System requirements & Configurations

PathPlanner is an add-on to an existing CAD platform and requires AutoCAD or MicroStation to be pre-installed and running. PathPlanner A5 uses a hardware lock that can be plugged into the parallel or USB port of the Workstation (or the Server if you are using a network lincense for PathPlanner).

PathPlanner A5 is available as:
- stand alone license or a
- server license (network) with defined number of concurrent users.

In order to run PathPlanner A5 you need to have the following platforms already installed and functioning:
- AutoCAD® series of products (except LT) from version 2000 upwards or
- MicroStation® versions J (from 7.1) and V8 (from 8.1) and upwards.

You can only use our PathPlanner software on full versions of said CAD platforms, i.e it will not work on LT ("Lite") versions.

As Autodesk® Authorized Developer and Bentley® Technology Partner, Simtra ensures seamless integration in the respective CAD platforms and compatibility with the latest versions on the market.

The software is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, and Vista (32-bit) and Windows Server (32-bit) 2000 and later.

We recommend the use of at least a 1 GHz processor for work with PathPlanner.
