The Company
Simtra is a privately owned company located in Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden. From here we do most of our development and sales. Selected partners all over the world are also involved in our operations, primarily as local agents and/or instructors for our products.

Our Background
Simtra, is a university spin-off company and was started in 1989 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The company initially developed hardware and software concepts for supporting free navigation of mobile robots.

This background gave us the ability to display highly accurate animations within CAD-environments. In 1995 the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority enabled Simtra to introduce the first PathPlanner Software, an easy to use CAD application that enables simulation of aircraft ground movements.

Today we have customers from over 40 countries around the world. You will find customer profiles from the most distinguished international organizations involved in infrastructure developments to small single-person local companies.

Our Mission
We develop tools based on our customers requests and needs. Some customers use our products for reconstruction purposes. However the majority of our users use it for planning and dimensioning, where safe and organized operations are important design criteria. Our task is to provide customers with the tools to evaluate the alternatives before the actual implementation.
